Foreign Minister Dunya sends message of sympathy to the Foreign Minister of Pakistan

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Dunya Maumoon has sent a message of sympathy to His Excellency Sartaj Aziz, the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, condemning the attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, causing loss of several lives and injury to many.

Minister’s message reads as follows:

“It was with great shock and sadness that I learnt the news of the brutal attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, causing loss of several lives and injury to many. The Government and the people of Maldives condemn this violent act of terror in strongest terms.

At this time of great national distress and mourning, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved families, Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan. The Maldives strongly condemns these cowardly acts of terror and all acts of violence perpetuated against innocent people. We are fully committed to the fight against terrorism and we will continue to work closely with the Government of Pakistan and the whole international community in eliminating this global menace.
