Foreign Minister Dunya sends a message of sympathy to the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Dunya Maumoon has sent a message of sympathy to His Excellency Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, condemning the attack in Kabul, outside an office of the civil order Police, causing loss of several lives and injury to many.  

Minister’s message reads as follows:

“It was with deep shock and horror that I learnt the news of the suicide bomb attack in Kabul, outside an office of the civil order police, causing loss of several innocent lives and injury to many more.

The Maldives strongly condemns these cowardly acts of terror and all acts of violence perpetuated against innocent people. We are fully committed to the fight against terrorism and we will continue to work closely with the Government of Afghanistan and the whole international community in eliminating this global menace. 

At this time of great national distress and mourning, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved families, the Government and the people of Afghanistan.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
