Doha, 10 June 2015; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Dunya Maumoon, has called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, today, the Foreign Minister of Qatar welcomed Minister Dunya and noted the close historical ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries.
Foreign Minister Dunya thanked the Foreign Minister of Qatar for the warm welcome and hospitality and expressed appreciation of the Government and people of the Maldives to the Government and people of Qatar for the close cooperation and assistance from Qatar towards the development of the Maldives. The discussion also focused on ways to further strengthening the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Dunya was accompanied by Mr. Abdullah Hameed, Ambassador-at-Large at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Luveiz, Director at President’s Office and Ms. Maryam Bassama Farooq, Assistant Director at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
