Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has arrived in Finland on an official visit.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has arrived in Finland on an official visit. Minister was received upon arrival by Harri Kämäräinen, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Maldives.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Shahid will meet with Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto and Education Minister Li Andersson, and discuss on exploring avenues to expand the existing bilateral relations between both countries. Foreign Minister Shahid will also meet with the business community of Finland to reinforce trade ties between the two countries.
Minister Shahid will also sign an Air Services Agreement during the visit. The Agreement will allow international commercial air transport services between Maldives and Finland, enhancing the people to people contact as well as the broader economic cooperation between both countries.
Foreign Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Finland, Ahmed Latheef, Minister of State for Economic Development, Mohamed Iaad Hameed and Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shiuneen Rasheed.
