Discussions ongoing to resolve the difficulties of obtaining student and dependent visa says Maldivian High Commission in Malaysia

24 April 2014, Malaysia; Minister at the Maldives High Commission in Malaysia, Ms. Aishath Liusha Zahir has said that High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia are currently working on resolving the difficulties faced for obtaining visa for Maldivian students and their dependents.



In this regard, Minister Liusha Zahir said that the High Commission today met with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Dato Saiful Anwar, and had engaged in discussions towards resolving the issue.

Minister Liusha said that at the meeting, the Maldivian High Commission, on behalf of the Government of Maldives, conveyed the concerns to the Malaysian Government regarding the current difficulties faced by Undergraduate students and their parents, and indicated how serious of a concern it has become for the Government of Maldives. The discussions between the two sides, further on, fcoused on ways to resolve the matter at the earliest possible,
