A delegation of the European Parliament led by Her Excellency Ms. Jean Lambert, MEP arrived in Maldives this morning on a two-day official visit, on the invitation of the Government of Maldives.
Members of the delegation was received on arrival at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, by Hon. Abdulla Khaleel, MP and Hon Asma Rasheed, MP, Hon. Jameel Usman, MP and Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the Delegation of the European Parliament will call on H.E. Mr. Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, President of the Republic of Maldives and H.E. Ms. Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives and hold discussions on strengthening of bilateral relations between the Maldives and the European Union.
