Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, calls on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid
Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh, called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid, today. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Shahid welcomed Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh to the Maldives and reflected on the long-standing relations between Maldives and India. Both the Ministers acknowledged and reviewed the significant milestones achieved through robust defence cooperation between the two countries. Minister Shahid further highlighted the prominent role India continues to play in enhancing the capacities of defence and security forces of Maldives. Both Ministers discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to defence cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to further intensify the defence cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister of Defence of India is on a three-day visit to the Maldives on the invitation of Minister of Defence, Mariya Ahmed Didi.
