The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the European Union to the Maldives paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the European Union to the Maldives, Mr. Thorsten Bargfrede, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid, today.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon, both the Foreign Minister and the Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. held discussions on the existing cooperation programmes between the Maldives and EU. They also explored on expanding the cooperation on counter-radicalisation and increasing support from the EU to implement the reform initiatives of the government.
Foreign Minister Shahid was accompanied by Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Shiuneen Rasheed, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
