Minister Shahid sends National Day greetings to France
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of greetings to Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, on the festive occasion of the national day of France.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the People, the Government of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, it is my great pleasure to extend warm wishes to Your Excellency, the People and the Government of the French Republic on the joyous occasion of the National Day of France on the 14th of July.
As we celebrate 53 years of close and cordial relations between the Maldives and France, our partnership has only grown stronger; with collaborations in key areas of mutual interest including climate change, environmental protection and counter terrorism. France has also continued to play a key role in our democratic and development journey and I would like to take this opportunity, to thank Your Excellency and the Government of France for the generous assistance and support extended to the Maldives at all times.
