Minister Shahid sends greetings on the occasion of the Independence Day of Philippines
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid sends warm greetings and good wishes to His Excellency Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Philippines, on the 124th Independence Day of the Philippines.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives, it gives me great pleasure to extend my sincere greetings to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Philippines on the joyous occasion of the 124th Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines.
Maldives and Philippines continue to enjoy excellent and steadfast relations that have existed for over four decades based on mutual respect and trust. We look forward to deepening our friendship, strengthening our ties, and broadening our cooperation based on our shared values.
Let me also take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to Your Excellency’s good health and success, and for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Philippines. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
