Foreign Minister Shahid sends Independence Day greetings to Foreign Minister of Pakistan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitations to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, on the occasion their Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“Excellency,
The Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives join me in extending our warmest greetings and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan on the joyous occasion of the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Independence of Pakistan.
The Maldives and Pakistan share a long history of cooperation and friendship based on shared values and mutual respect. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for its unwavering support towards the socioeconomic development of the Maldives. I remain confident that the Maldives and Pakistan will continue to work together to advance our shared interests in the bilateral, regional, and international spheres.
