The newly appointed Non-resident Ambassador of France to the Maldives, His Excellency Rémi Lambert paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam this morning. The Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning.
Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam welcomed Ambassador Lambert and congratulated him on the presentation of his Letters of Credence to His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During the meeting, Ambassador Lambert expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the Government of Maldives. The Minister and Ambassador further reflected on the longstanding bilateral ties between the Maldives and France and explored avenues to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam expressed confidence that the Ambassador's tenure would contribute to further deepening the partnership between the Maldives and France and wished him success during his tenure.
Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam was accompanied by Secretary, Her Excellency Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary Multilateral, His Excellency Ahmed Shiaan, Joint Secretary, Mr. Hassan Hussain Shihab, Senior Political Director, Mr. Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Deputy Desk Officer, Ms. Aminath Iba Abdulla Rasheed.
