  • Outgoing:
    • President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih undertook an official visit to Sri Lanka from 8 – 9 November 2021, to attend the opening ceremony of the Four Nations Football Tournament.​
    • President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih undertook a State Visit to Sri Lanka to attend the official ceremony to mark the 71st National Day of Sri Lanka, from 3 – 5 February 2019.​
    • President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom undertook a State Visit to Sri Lanka from 21 - 23 January 2014.​
    • President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom visited Sri Lanka in September 2014 to attend the inauguration ceremony of the 8th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), at the invitation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. ​
    • Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid undertook an official visit to Sri Lanka to lead the Maldives delegation at the 4th Session of Maldives-Sri Lanka Joint Commission held in Colombo from 6 - 7 June 2023.​
    • Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid undertook an official visit to Sri Lanka on 5 February 2023 to attend Sri Lanka’s Independence Day celebrations.​
    • Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid undertook an official visit to Sri Lanka on 8 May 2019 and from 4-7 December 2019. ​
  • Incoming: 
    • Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe undertook a State Visit to Maldives and participated in the 4th Indian Ocean Conference, held from 3-4 September 2019. 
    • President Maithripala Yapa Sirisena, arrived in 2015 on a State Visit to participate in the events held to mark the Golden Jubilee of National Independence.
